  • An Educational Psychologist (EP) applies psychological theory and research to support learning, wellbeing, and development. While our work often focuses on children and young people, we also work with adults and organisations, supporting systems, teams, and leaders to understand behaviour, learning, and change more effectively.

  • We work with children and young people, parents and carers, schools, and professionals. We also work with organisations and leadership teams, including those outside of education, where understanding learning, group dynamics, and change is central to effective practice.

  • No. We do not provide statutory EHCP or EHCNA advice. Statutory psychological advice is commissioned and completed by local authorities, and our statutory work is undertaken within that framework. Our independent work focuses on early intervention, consultation, capacity-building, and psychologically informed support that complements statutory processes.

  • No. We do not provide clinical diagnoses. Our role is to understand patterns of learning, behaviour, and functioning and to offer psychologically informed insight that supports effective decision-making, whether in educational or organisational contexts.

  • Our work is psychologically informed but is not psychotherapy. Whether working with families or organisations, we focus on formulation, understanding systems, and enabling change through psychological insight, strategy, and capacity-building rather than long-term therapy.

  • Yes. Alongside schools and local authorities, we work with a range of organisations, including those in the corporate and third sectors. Our work often focuses on leadership, staff wellbeing, organisational culture, and managing change in psychologically informed ways.

  • Yes. All of Nova Vista’s psychologists are HCPC registered and work in line with professional standards of ethics, conduct, and continuing professional development across all areas of our practice.

  • We work with leadership teams to explore group dynamics, communication patterns, decision-making, and change processes. Using adult learning theory and systemic frameworks, we support leaders to reflect, adapt, and lead in ways that are psychologically informed and sustainable.
